Kickoff workshop
Fun demo with the line following vehicle
Basic starting knowledge of voltage, current, resistor
1st experience with Micro:bit, start making simple projects
So good learning passions with many more newcomers and some of the parents joining us for this starting session, we saw very good interests and common view on the learning motivation!
Very good starting session with very well prepared materials (very much time and efforts by our tutors and course developers beforehand, appreciated!)
Very good discussion and communications with new friends, visitors and parents!
We saw some very passionate students with good making spirits, and also proactively explorations, very good influence for mutual learning and inspirations!
A fun demo of the PJ009.5: Make MOVE Vehicle Line-Following result, assisted by one of our experienced students.
A little too many people for today's session, 10+ students including the visiting learners, it's too heavy for a tutor to handle everything well
A little hard to care well the experienced students, they seems to feel a little bored especially when coming the the projects PJ000: 1st Experience with Micro:bit and MakeCode, need to consider adjustment from next session to take care of both newcomers and experienced ones, perhaps keeping the same knowledge points, but assigining different tasks/projects. Need our little assistants' help.
The prepared snacks and drinks were not finished, seems a little over-prepared, we kept the un-opened packs for next time, but need to think about reducing the amount for next time purchasing. This was done by our little assistants, need to remind them.
A little hard for students to open the webpage and follow the steps, since it's intensive session and much discussions in the class, and the internet is slow there... Maybe good to print out the key information for the class
Since now we have started the basic Micro:bit board, remember to bring the "teach aid" board to have a visualized interpretations
109 Kr: Tutor parking, this day was longer, due to extra interesting discussions with newcomers and their parents after the class
23.9 + 27.9 +19 + 18.9 + 18.9 Kr: Fika snacks and drink, selection assisted by the students themselves. Those snacks were not finished, 1 pack of chips + 1 bottle of Cola left not opened yet, will be kept for next session.
20 Kr per student: Compensate the consuming cost of tools and materials for projects (like printed paper, stationery, cables, batteries, fragile components, etc.)
