This page serves to plan the agenda for the session, then logs the finalized minutes, as well as information necessary for final summary, upon the completion.
Recap: Boolean Logic operations (or, xor, and, not)
Recap: KB013: DC Motor
New knowledge input: KB016: Ultrasonic Sensor, and IR light sensor for line following
Programmable vehicle experiences:
Very fun learning with the ultrasonic and IR sensors data collection, we visualize the data and feel the perception sensing
Very fun project with the PJ009.3: Help MOVE vehicle finding a way out
The agenda was majorly updated 1 day before the session, because the original plan with straight line driving calibration seemed not working well, and it's almost impossible to make a right-angle turning.
This kind of hardware and real environmental situation dependent projects need to be very carefully planned and verified before the session, it's very risky to have the ideal plan not working in reality
89 Kr: Tutor parking
70 Kr: AAA batteries from ICA to supply the vehicle, these kind of consuming materials need to be shared by us together. But we don't share cost for other long lasting materials like Micro:bit board and the MOVE vehicle, they are provided for free.
39.90 + 18.9 Kr: Snack and drinking for fika
10:00-10:13:
Recap of KB012: Boolean Logic: AND, OR, XOR, NOT and KB013: DC Motor
10:13-11:08:
Knowledge input for KB016: Ultrasonic Sensor and IR light sensor
PJ009.2: Collect MOVE vehicle sensors data: Finished the measurement of ultrasonic sensor data
Use a box to measure short/mid/long distance: things worked well as expected, the measurement looked accurate enough
Use a marker pen as random small object to measure: it looked tricky, but if placing well in the range, it can detect the object as a result of a not so accurate distance value
Skipped using mug
11:08-11:20:
Fika break
11:20-12:05:
PJ009.2: Collect MOVE vehicle sensors data: Finished measurement of IR light sensor
On white and black paper
collected data analysis together
PJ009.3: Help MOVE vehicle finding a way out: A quick project, fun result as expected
10:05-10:10:
Check in and preparing
10:10-10:15: Recap Boolean Logic
Recap: Boolean Logic operations (or, xor, and, not), exercise and quiz
10:15-10:25: Recap DC motor
Recap: How does DC motor work (KB013: DC Motor )
10:25-10:45: Ultrasonic sensor
New knowledge input: Ultrasonic sensor and obstacle detection (knowledge page to be added)
10:45-11:00: Programmable vehicle experience
Part 1: Tune to vehicle to drive straightly
11:00-11:10: Fika break and social
11:15-11:55: Programmable vehicle experience
Part 2: Drive the vehicle to a pre-defined angle and do a 90 degrees turning
Part 3: Drive the vehicle freely but to avoid occasion by bouncy back and turning then continue exploring driving
