We tried the wire game (PJ007: Wire game with Micro:bit ) in the 2nd session of LP2346: 3 Weeks Recap & Review, 23w46, it was very interesting, and our students liked that project we had tried.
As we mentioned, there are many possibilities to make fun features, we have listed some in the "Further Challenges" part in the project page, the tutor made an example of those interesting ideas, in this demo, there are 2 game modes
"classic mode", the player should hold the probe stably and carefully, should not let the probe and wire touch, any touching is counted as failure
"creative/invert mode", now the player should play in an opposite way, the probe and wire should touch, any untouching is counted as failure
The changing of those 2 modes are randomly made between 5-10 seconds in this demo, of course it's purely software defined, we can change it as we like
This is just an example, and this inspired the idea of next Learning Package designing, we now want to base on this wire game device, and design all 4 sessions to make 2nd/3rd generation of the product in the coming Learning Package, this will be very fun and can involve the students more to create an advancing product together, so to consolidate the knowledge points, as well as a few new learnings.
