We continued the fun learning with more students, but not that much as last session, instead, we were more stabilized, so the tutor could have better opportunity to check and listen to everyone.
There were many interesting findings this day, we saw that a few students were really passionate and active on the learning, they started without much guidance, and achieved the expected results fast, this was really exciting, because we all loved making and we all had good interest in the computer programming! However, on the other hand, there were a few students without much prior knowledge seemed to be a little hard to catch up what we want to make, and needed more support. So, the challenging thing for the next steps were the balancing of those two ends. Let's see what we can improve on the way.
Anyway, we believed that after this Learning Package to bring the newcomers to the basic level, we would enjoy much more fun together! We loved the very good learning atmosphere together with such many active children! And we were so happy seeing the students showed very creative ways of solving the problems, it's fine if they didn't understand so well, but the journey of "making" things interested them to explore!
The tutor was showing the traffic lights project
A student was exploring in the class
2 students met tricky asynchronization issue with the "baby face" homework, the simple project inspired good thinking of the synchronization of doing things
A student quickly got traffic lights project done nicely with good structure by functions
A student had tried an innovative way of making the digital dice, even though it's borrowed solution from the internet, but it's good "making" as exploration and trying
A student created his own project Whac-A-Mole game and show to the class
