Before doing more interesting projects with TM015: Kitronik :MOVE Motor for Micro:bit, we had designed a very helpful prior project for this week, i.e. PJ009.2: Collect MOVE vehicle sensors data, in this project, we focused on learning the basic WHAT/HOW of ultrasonic sensor and IR light sensor, then we built the program to measure the real time data from those sensors, the data were countinously sent to MakeCode in PC, so we had very nice visualization for analysis.
The students are very active in this project, because they can touch and see and try different things to see how the data was affected in real time monitoring. Of course the students were still too junior to understand what to figure out from those collected data, our tutor guided them to find our valuable information from the data. The most important thing was the IR light sensor data from both Left and Right side, they would be used to figure out the algorithm for line following in later projects.
By the end of this day's learning, we tried this project PJ009.3: Help MOVE vehicle finding a way out, it's so fun!
