This page shares the basic guideline about cost and fees, please contact the tutor for actual plan.
This learning group is volunteering, non-profit based, it's basically free for learning, but we spare the most-needed costs to keep things up and running.
We will prepare for everything needed for teaching and learning, except the laptop that the students need to bring with them.
We note all happened costs in every session's log page, and summarize at the end of the whole Learning Package, then we calculate the sharing-cost.
This practice is valid for both Team A and Team B, since Team B has most learning activities online, then reasonably will have less cost for physical logistics, but both team follows the same principle.
All costs sharing will be only for those who have participated in the finished activities, those who haven't joined due to any reasons will not bear the shared costs. With this principle, Team A and Team B normally don't cross the costs sharing in most cases, except for the common activities like open events, tech-mingle, etc.
In order to keep the sustainability and secure the learning group operation, we will review these guidelines and update the policy basing on the reality and latest needs. This page will be updated then, and communication will be well made with those in concern.
Please visit Learning Packages to find out what logs and how we handle the costs in a transparent way in the history
Valid for both Team A and Team B
0 Kr for teaching and tutoring, tutors spare effort and knowledge voluntarily, they deserve a good respect.
The tutors bear the traffic cost by themselves, we don't charge anything from participants to cover this
Parking fee is expensive in city center, during the teaching time, it costs around 90-100 Kr, it's an obvious burden and unsustainable, we note the actualized parking fee for the tutors, and include as cost to share by participants who join the classroom learning
Team B seldom uses the physical classroom, but follows the same rule if needing to come
We provide the needed durable reusable tools/materials, like Multimeter, Micro:bit/Arduino boards for project making for free, as long as they are well cared and not seriously damaged upon returning.
Laptop/PC is the students' own responsibility, we don't prepare/fix or charge anything for this.
We charge fixed 20 Kr/session per student, to compensate for the maintenance/service/repairing, small fragile electronic components, consuming parts like wires, batteries, etc., as well as stationery and office materials like printed papers and general stationary. This general shared costs covers both course preparation beforehand, and actual learning activities happening in the class.
Formally supported by ABF, so far it's basically no extra fee, hence we don't charge any cost. The facilitation vendor includes basic insurance for the students during the learning in classroom, but please keep in mind that
We must follow the laws, regulations and rule, and
Take responsibility of keeping the classroom (as well as kitchen, hall, toilet, etc.) clean and cared.
We have to pay for damages that are unreasonably made by us
Team B seldom uses the physical classroom, but follows the same rule if needing to come
We often buy snacks for fika to energize the class during break, then we note in the session's logs, include for cost sharing according to actual expense. Normally, it's up to the students as kids/friends to decide what they want to eat during the fika time, we try to control to a reasonable low cost, around 10-20Kr per student per session.
Sometimes, parents or visitor friends spontaneously bring nice food to share, we don't count anything from this to share as learning cost.
Team B gathers mostly online, hence no fika cost in most cases, but when there is tech-mingle, this rule applies, we make notes and share costs.
Sometimes, we buy gifts and diploma for students who complete a milestone, or when we have something big to celebrate, and sometimes we organize some special educational visiting, then there could be some costs.
When happens, we include in the session's log for cost sharing according to actual expense.
